Council hygiene inspectors report 'improvement necessary'
A recent inspection of the Putney Odeon cinema has resulted in a food hygiene rating of just 2 out of five stars.
The cinema was ranked 'Poor' for Structural Compliance which includes; (cleanliness, layout, condition of structure, lighting, ventilation, facilities etc.), but received a 'Good' for Food Hygiene & Safety (which includes food handling practices and procedures, and temperature control) and the food safety team registered only 'Some Confidence' in the management.

The Food Hygiene Rating Scheme allows the public to see the results of food hygiene inspections as a rating from 0 to 5. Rating certificates and window stickers are sent out to businesses after assessment.
Scores on the Doors is a web site that collates information on the food premises supplied by the Food Standards Agency and provided by local authorities. Wandsworth Council inspects most of the 2,132 food premises in Wandsworth each year - the aim as stated on the council web site is to 'to ensure that food sold to the public is safe to consume'.
