no permission granted for prime location
An advertising agency has had to pay over £6,200 for displaying an advertisement without permission.
Primesight Ltd, part of the Scottish Media Group which own Virgin Radio, was found guilty of illegally displaying a two-storey advertisement next to Putney train Station on Putney High Street.
The case was considered at South Western Magistrates Court on Friday, May 25. The company was fined £4,400 and was also ordered to pay the council's legal costs of £1,800.
The display has now been removed after Wandsworth Council issued a notice requiring its removal earlier this year.
Primesight Ltd was also prosecuted by the council last year for similar offences in the Battersea area.
