Date Set For Putney Common Hearing

Three judges to review decision to allow roads on the site

A date has been set for a hearing on the legality of building roads on Putney Common. The case is to be heard on 30 June.

The parties to the action - Nicholas Evans for Friends of Putney Common as Applicant, the Wimbledon and Putney Commons Conservators as Defendant and the Council as Interested Party, will exchange skeleton legal arguments a few days beforehand.

Which court will be used at the High Court in London and what time the hearing will start will not be known until nearer the 30 June.

Three Appeal Court judges will be considering whether the earlier Judicial Review finding that the Conservators can allow the Council to build access roads on Putney Common for a commercial development is legally correct.
