An update from Cllr Lister

The Council is committed to building a new school on the hospital site. We think this is a  fantastic  opportunity for local parents to have a free school on their doorstep but  if not we will go ahead anyway. We have registered our interest with the PCT who now have to decide whether to deal with the Council directly or make the property available on the open market.

In the meantime we have already begun negotiations over the valuation. I will be happy to keep putneysw15.com followers up to date with progress on this important project. The Hospital has been derelict far too long – the Council wants to bring the site back into use and meet the growing demand for primary places in the area.
