Businesses continue to disregard day time ban from Putney High Street
Today (Thursday 28th) Tesco was yet again one of many companies continuing to flout a ban on daytime deliveries on Putney High Street.
Putney residents are becoming eagle eyed at playing 'Spot the delivery truck', taking snaps on deliveries taking place. It is becoming obvious the fine is not high enough to be a deterrent as it would be cheaper than paying for overtime or early/late hour delivery charges.
One resident emailed this website with pictures of "three lorries within an hour or so":
A Petit Forestier vehicle outside the Railway (above).
The photographer commented,"Although it was not clear whether it was actually making any deliveries. But it was certainly parked very badly, on the wrong side of the road, and how it managed to negotiate the traffic-lights from that position….!"
Ironically displaying a sign saying “Convictions that stick”!! It was already displaying a parking ticket timed at 9.11sm somewhere in the High Street, and by the time this photo was taken around 30 minutes later, it was outside Lloyds Bank. A repeat / serial offence?
A Bidvest vehicle parked on the northern end of the High Street - doors open and mid delivery.
