Council Launches Tender For Alton Estate

Seeking contractor for the redevelopment of the 17 acre site

The comprehensive redevelopment of the Roehampton area moved a step closer this week as Wandsworth Council opened the bidding for a contractor to take on the project.

The scheme aims to improve the post war housing estate on the border of Richmond Park and promises a range of new shops and community facilities built, including a leisure centre, community centre, park and library.
