Buy a Charity Card from St. Mary's Church this Christmas
The mid-15th century Tower, restored in 1845, the 1960s and again in 1982 after the fire, at St Mary’s Church on Putney Bridge, has been transformed into a Grotto this year to host the Charity Christmas Card shop.Cards for Good Causes – which sells 25 national and local charity, including the Royal Hospital for Neurodisability and Trinity Hospice, Christmas cards across the country has opened its Putney shop in the church tower.
Putney charity Christmas card shop is one of a national network of shops. Last year charities received more than £5 million from Cards for Good Causes for their Christmas card sales.
Because Cards for Good Causes keeps it operating costs to an absolute minimum, charities receive at least 81p in every £1 from their card sales out of which they have to pay for the production and distribution of their cards and any applicable VAT.
The shop, staffed by local volunteers, is open Monday to Saturday from 10am to 4.30pm until December 19th.
Look out for the red triangular Santa sign!
