Supported by members of Putney Rotary & Rotaract Clubs
Once again Father Christmas will visit many Putney streets on his illuminated musical sleigh – his whiskers are washed and combed, his illuminated sleigh has been overhauled and Putney Rotary Club’s Christmas Collection is ready to roll.
Some 30 Rotary and Rotaract members and friends will take turns to support Father Christmas as he tours the residential streets of Putney during December 2012.
The annual seasonal collection is the club’s biggest fundraising exercise, last year raising thousands of pounds to help local and international charities.
President of Putney Rotary Tony Chase said:
“Our club may be in one of the wealthiest regions of the country but not everyone shares in the good fortune.”
The collection routes have been carefully planned to cover as many streets as possible and to allow parents to make sure their children catch a glimpse of Father Christmas.
Dates and Routes:
Thu 06 Dec 18:00-21:00 Streets leading off Lower Richmond Road, between Lower Richmond Road and the Thames
Tue 11 Dec 18:00-21:00 Streets leading off Lower Richmond Road
Thu 13 Dec 18:00-21:00 Streets leading off Upper Richmond Road
Tue 18 Dec 18:00-21:00 Streets leading off Upper Richmond Road (northern side) towards Putney Heath
Be prepared, watch out with your kids for the sleigh and Putney Rotary will help you by clearing out your pennies (and banknotes)! See you then!
