Party for Putney Gala Cabaret Night Cancelled

RHN fundraising event called off following death of the Queen

A night of glamour and cabaret was promised

A fundraising event for the Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability (RHN) has been postponed as it was due to take place within the period of official mourning for The Queen.

Party for Putney was scheduled for Friday 16 September. It was the first event of its kind held by the RHN and a new date will be announced in due course.

Well-known stars of opera and West End shows were due to appear in the gala night of cabaret in the grand, newly refurbished, Victorian Hall with dazzling chandeliers and stain glass windows.

This black tie cabaret was to feature opera arias, much-loved show tunes and humorous monologues which were now considered inappropriate.

Performers were to include Ron Cook who has been acting for almost fifty years and you will know from from ‘Les Miserables’, ‘Chernobyl’, ‘Mr Selfridge’, ‘Death in Paradise’, ‘Hot Fuzz’, ‘Thunderbirds’ and many more.

Also due to appear was Simon Paisley-Day an actor who can be seen in ‘The Crown’, ‘Sherlock’ and ‘Dr Who’. Recent film credits include ‘Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker’ and ‘Brexit: The Uncivil War’ to name a few.

Tickets included a two course dinner.
