Dee’s sexual escapades are messy and temporary – just like her shoe box London flat. New to the city and in a stop-gap job, Dee has the chance to reinvent herself. But how can you change your life when you don’t know what you want? Welcome to the secret life of a 33 year old woman.

A shamelessly funny and brutally honest play about sex, connection and control.

April

The Real Thing By Tom Stoppard
Tuesday 23rd - Saturday 27th April
7.45pm, Main Stage

Henry, “one of your intellectual playwrights,” has written a witty play about adultery in which his wife, Charlotte, is playing the female lead. Her co-star, Max, is married to another actress, Annie. When Henry’s affair with Annie threatens to shatter both their marriages it seems that the line between art and life is becoming blurred.

But is their love the real thing? Stoppard’s 1982 comedy explores themes of commitment and fidelity, as well as the relationship between artifice and truth, showcasing the playwright’s usual scintillating wordplay while also touching the heart.

Presented by special arrangement with Samuel French Ltd.
Tickets: £14 / £10

May

The Blue Room – A Rehearsed Reading
By David Hare
Friday 10th May 8pm,
Main Stage

The Blue Room is a modern adaptation of Arthur Schnitzler’s La Ronde or Reigen. Schnitzler never intended that his ‘loose series of sexual scenes’ should be publicly performed, intending for them to ‘read among friends’. Hare’s adaptation was first performed by Nicole Kidman and Iain Glen at the Donmar Warehouse in 1998, and Kidman’s nudity caused a media storm.

Expect to be moved by this version of the circular scenes of love and betrayal, lust and mistrust.

Not suitable for children. Please note this is a rehearsed reading where the performers will have scripts in hand.

Presented by special arrangement with Samuel French Ltd.
