Capital Vices by PTC New Writing

Thu 20 – Sat 22 October - 7.45pm

Wrath, greed, lust, pride, sloth, gluttony, envy: the Cardinal Sins; the Capital Vices. In the middle ages they meant damnation; in modern London they lead to trial by tabloid headlines, but they can be just as deadly. PTC New Writing explores modern sin and its consequences, both comic and tragic, in an evening of short duologues.

On the Razzle by Tom Stoppard

When Zangler, owner of an upmarket grocery shop, heads into the city to wine and dine his fiancée, his two assistants abandon their duties to embark on high jinks of their own. Freely adapted from a nineteenth century Austrian comedy, Stoppard’s farce is as light as a Viennese cream puff and fast as a runaway hansom cab, with no identity left unmistaken, no pun unturned and every entendre doubled.
