Saturday 23rd November
Following on from the huge success of last year’s PLOS concert, it has now entered our yearly calendar but this year’s concert won’t be just any concert…
This year Putney Light Operatic Society celebrates 65 years of amateur theatre in South West London. Therefore our 65th Anniversary concert is the perfect opportunity to look back at some of the musical wonders we have performed over the years.
The 65th Anniversary Concert will be performed at Putney Methodist Church on Saturday 23rd November at 7.30pm by members of Putney Light Operatic Society. We are delighted to welcome Philip Shute as Musical Director and Kim Findlay as Choreographer for the concert. Philip last oversaw the musical direction for our 65th show, The Witches of Eastwick, so we are extremely happy to see him at the helm. We are also thrilled to welcome Kim back, after last Choreographing the 2012 Panto, Jack and the Beanstalk.
There will be something to suit every taste – songs from shows old and new, including: Guys and Dolls; The Pirates of Penzance; Half a Sixpence; Me and My Girl; Bad Girls; The Witches of Eastwick; Our House and Cabaret to name just a few.
