5k on Saturday 2nd March to raise money for Hestia Women's Aid
Following on from a successful event last year, we are helping to organise another 5k fun run on Saturday 2nd March to raise money for Hestia Women's Aid which is a fantastic local charity that runs three refuge centres in Putney to support women and children fleeing from domestic violence.
We will meet at St Mary's Church on the High Street from 9.30am and then walk down to Putney Pier to start the race at 10am. We will run, walk, push buggies etc. to Hammersmith Bridge and back which is about 5k and then meet back at the church for refreshments. We are hoping that people will come in fancy dress, and there will be a prize for the best dressed runner!
To register for the run please go to mydonate.bt.com/fundraisers/parishactionfunrun2013.
The entry fee is £10 for adults and £5 for children, which will all go to Hestia Women's Aid. They are hoping to raise as much as possible, so if you would like to get sponsorship then please email phoebe.h.bennett@gmail.com for a sponsorship form or for more information about the run.
