ARTISTS
OPEN THEIR DOORS FOR PUTNEY STUDIOS INITIATIVE
Putney
artists open their doors to the public for the second
year. Putney artists are opening their homes and studios
to the public at the end of May giving art lovers a
chance to visit and chat to local artists where they
work.
Putney Open Studios is organised by the Wandsworth Arts
Office in partnership with Putney School of Art and
Design. The event will run from Saturday, May 31 to
Sunday, June 8.
Over
50 artists will be exhibiting in their homes and studios
around SW15, with a huge range to view including potters
and hat makers, stained glass artists, furniture makers
as well as sculptors, painters and printmakers. Visitors
will also have the opportunity to buy original works
of art below the normal gallery prices.

Entrance
to all studios is free.
There will be a showcase exhibition of the artists opening
their studios at Putney School of Art and Design in Disraeli
Road from Tuesday May 20. This will give visitors to the Putney
Open Studios a chance to choose their favourite artists before
deciding which studios to visit. .
