London Open House is an architectural education charity which has four principal objectives:

• To foster public awareness and understanding of London's built environment and architecture by means of direct access, experience and debate.

• To promote an understanding of architecture and the public environment across all sections of the community, particularly with children and young people

• To encourage civic pride amongst the capital's residential and business community

• To promote visual literacy and citizenship through the medium of architectural appreciation and understanding.

As part of their aims thay have arranged for buildings withing London to be open to the public for two days. In Putney you can visit:

Series of extensions to a listed modern school by Erno Goldfinger formed from prefabricated timber elements clad with cedar boards.




National Tennis Centre Sports Canopy Saturday | 10am-to-5pm
100 Priory Lane, Roehampton, SW15 5JQ,
The world's first composite demountable air-beamcanopy, spanning 42m, to support player training and development on the Centre's clay courts. Timeless nature of the arched form provides an inspirational and 'clutter free' playing environment attuned to players' needs.
