Putney mum raises over £3000 for the Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability.
Kate was one of twenty participants in this year's London Marathon which have raised approximately £35,000 for the Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability, a national medical charity, based in Putney. The marathon team included five members of hospital staff and a relative of a patient. The fastest member of the hospital team was Alastair Bailey who completed the 26.2-mile course in an official time of 3hrs 10min 34secs. Royal Hospital fundraiser, Rachel Jones, who co-ordinated the hospital's marathon team said: "Congratulations to all our runners, they've done a great job and everyone at the hospital is very proud of them. Over the past few months, I've been really impressed by the dedication shown both to training and fundraising. The hospital relies on public support to continue our work so we appreciate all the efforts of the runners and their supporters. They have been brilliant!" It is not too late to support the runners, you can still send donations to London Marathon, c/o Rachel Jones, Fundraising Department, Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability, West Hill, Putney, SW15 3SW.
