Raising funds to campaign against loss of shops on Petersfield Rise
With a row of shops in Petersfield Rise due to be knocked down Alton Regeneration Watch (ARW) has organised an evening of music to raise funds to campaign against demolition.
Music Against Demolition takes place on Friday, 30 September 2016 from 7pm to 9.30pm at Focus Hall Community Centre - DARA Club Minstead Gardens, SW15 4ER.
ARW say on their web site, "the Alton Estate ... needs to stand up to the council and make sure that existing tenants, leaseholders and freeholders are not disadvantaged by the regeneration."
ARW is made up of concerned residents monitoring Wandsworth Council's proposed changes to the Alton Estate in Roehampton and challenging where necessary.
They say, "We need more residents to join ARW, there is strength in numbers. But we also need to raise funds to keep up the fight!"
Entrance £2 on the door, but register for free to help ARW plan for numbers.
'Very reasonably priced' drinks available at the bar.
