A consultation on Putney Library, begun last year, has confirmed that local people value their library and have many ideas for extending its potential and for increasing connection with the local community.
In October 2015 The Friends of Putney Library, in conjunction with Greenwich Leisure Ltd. and Wandsworth Borough Council, launched a public consultation on Putney Library. A short consultation document set out the history, services and changes taking place at the library and a survey sought the views of local people about its future.
223 residents completed the consultation and results show a desire for more local history, and local what's on information:
FoPL told this website that it hopes, "that people in Putney will see their library continue to develop as a central part of Putney life and welcomes any ideas for making better links with local organisations, schools and businesses."
The outcome of the consultation is now published in three parts:
Part A: Consultation Outcome and Action Plan
Part B: Survey Answers
Part C: Summary of Comments and Suggestions
FoPL would like to thank all those who gave up their time to fill in the survey, or send in suggestions
