Brian Paddick & Caroline Pidgeon Came To Listen To Putney Residents

Road safety, increased Tube fares & more social and affordable housing were all raised

Liberal Democrat Mayoral candidate Brian Paddick was accompanied on his visit to Putney on Sunday by his Deputy for this campaign, Assembly Member Caroline Pidgeon and Chair of Campaigns for the Putney Lib Dems, Lisa Smart.

Brian and Caroline are joining the calls being made for better co-ordination of engineering works between Network Rail and Transport for London (TfL) to avoid further unnecessary disruption.

They also met with the Putney Society to hear about worries regarding over-development, air quality and the threat of loosing the local Post Office on Upper Richmond Road. To end the afternoon, a Q&A session took place at the Duke's Head.

Brian said
"Between now and January, before we announce our manifesto, we're taking the time to listen to Londoners and learn about their concerns, and this was a great opportunity to hear about what matters to the people of Putney. Road safety, the increase in Tube fares and a need for more social and affordable housing are issues we all agreed need to be tackled, and I look forward to highlighting them over the coming months."
