Deliver your verdict on local council services
Residents in West Putney ward will get the chance to quiz their locally elected representatives and senior council managers and offer feedback on a whole range of public services at special feedback session next week.
The council holds ‘Let’s Talk’ meetings across the borough so that residents can deliver their verdicts on local services and highlight issues of concern. Topics that are often raised by members of the public include parking, street cleaning, recycling, policing, public transport and the NHS.
Important local issues identified by the ward’s three elected councillors include the new 20mph zone in the Dover House Road area, efforts to protect the unique environment of Putney Park Lane, extra buses in Roehampton Lane, rising standards at local primary schools and action to tackle street drinkers on the Ashburton estate.
The meeting will be chaired by council leader Ravi Govindia and he will be joined by ward councillors Jane Cooper, Liz Stokes and Steffi Sutters plus the leader of the opposition Rex Osborn.
Senior officers from all the main town hall services will also be on hand to answer questions from the audience, address locally identified concerns and take on board suggestions for service improvements.
The meeting is being held at Sacred Heart primary school in Roehampton Lane on Thursday, February 20 from 7.30pm onwards.
People who are unable to attend can submit questions in advance via the council’s website at www.wandsworth.gov.uk/letstalk.
People with a disability who require support or assistance to attend should call Gareth Jones on (020) 8871 7520 or email garethjones@wandsworth.gov.uk
