Bach - Brandenburg Concertos Nos. 2 and 3 plus music by Fasch and Haydn

This month's concert is going to be pretty spectacular. Twelve string players will be lining up alongside harpsichord, recorder, oboe and trumpet to perform two of Bach's magnificent Brandenburg Concertos: the ever-popular 3rd Concerto in G major and a rare chance to hear the 2nd Concerto in F major with its famously demanding high solo trumpet part. Interspersing these works will be a baroque trio sonata by Fasch and cello duets by Haydn. Put the date in your diary now - you don't want to miss this one!

As ever the concert is free with complimentary wine and soft drinks and you are invited to bring something (not too distracting!) to do whilst you listen if you want to. The retiring collection will be for Starlight, a charity we have supported before and which helps to brighten the lives of terminally ill children.

For the last concert this season I will be playing piano music by Liszt, Beethoven and Prokofiev - the date for that is Sunday July 22nd.

Those of you who came to the concert in May might like to know that Alison Hunka and her friends raised over £1000 for Helen House!
