Come to the 100 year reunion for former pupils
To celebrate the school’s 100th birthday, Hotham Primary in Putney is organising a reunion for former pupils to come back and spend some time strolling down memory lane.
On Thursday 8th July 2010 the school will be inviting its alumni who left Hotham in the twentieth century to come for a guided tour of the school followed by the chance to mingle informally over a cup of tea with staff and pupils. After this you are welcome to visit classrooms and enjoy the games in the playground. There will also be the chance to have a traditional school lunch in the hall for alumni (please advise us if you would like a lunch). After lunch you can sit back and relax while you watch a special musical performance. For all times of events and to book your place on them please register by emailing 100@hotham.wandsworth.sch.uk or write to them at:
Hotham Primary School
Charlwood Road

You’ll be amazed at how much has changed, for example the blackboards and chalks of yesteryear have been replaced by interactive digital whiteboards. But you’ll also feel nostalgic about how much hasn’t changed because the building still retains all its Edwardian charm. You can even still see the marks on the staircases where the old gaslights used to be! Don’t be surprised if an eager pupil accosts you with a microphone, Hotham children are very proud of their school’s history and are keen to collect and record anecdotes from you about the past.
On Friday 9th July in the afternoon the Grand Centenary Ceremony will take place where you will get the chance to see Hotham School’s first cheerleading Team in action! This will be followed by the Summer Fayre which will be an extravaganza of fun, food, and futuristic clothes (worn by all current staff and pupils). Join in the fun and dress up too either in clothes from yesteryear or your own ideas for clothes of the future… Once again registration through the school by emailing 100@hotham.wandsworth.sch.uk or phoning 02087886468 is essential.
Why not contact some of your old classmates and get a group together?
All staff, children and parents are looking forward to meeting you and sharing your precious memories.
