Dads Get Off The Side Lines & On The Pitches

Hotham School PTA wins 'West Putney Dad's Football League'

The West Putney Dads' Football League reached an exciting climax at a sun-baked Barn Elms on Sunday, with Hotham School PTA narrowly claiming the title on goal difference.

Fathers from Hotham, St Mary's, All Saints' and Our Lady of Victories primary schools all took part in the 2012 renewal of the festival of friendship, frivolity and football.

Hotham's two rocks throughout the season, Spencer Leach and Andrik Fuellberg, had to be at their combative best to thwart an OLV front three who were a constant threat.
All Saints' got the better of St Mary's in the other season finale, winning 3-0 with midfielder Tom May at the fore and were unlucky not to claim the trophy themselves - as the calculator came down narrowly in favour of Hotham.

Parents keen to get involved and play or help next season are urged to contact their respective PTA's

Hotham goalkeeper Michael Grant said:
“It was nice to win, but the whole season was an unqualified success and the community was the real winner. The whole event is a chance for fathers and their families, at all four schools, to socialise and share their common love of football. I'd like to thank all the organisers and players for their efforts.”
