This Saturday you can take control and land a BOEING 737 in Putney
Putney firm, Flight Experience London (FEL) is opening its cockpit doors on Saturday 8 April for free simulator taster sessions. Budding pilots and aviation fans can try their hand at flying a Boeing 737 commercial jet and landing into Heathrow - one of the world's busiest airports.
Before you jet off on your Easter break or summer getaway this year, take a seat in a real cockpit and let the instructors at FEL show you what goes on behind the closed door at the front of the plane. After carrying out real pre-flight aircraft checks and talking to Air Traffic Control, your instructor will take you through the controls of the Boeing 737-800 aircraft and then allow you to experience the exciting sensations of take-off, climbing, cruising and landing.
FEL is the UK's only Flight Simulator business of its kind to be classified as an 'Official Boeing Licensed Product'. The cockpit is actually built from a former aircraft so the controls are identical to those you would expect to find inside a cockpit - every lever and button is operational and will have an effect on the flight if used. Featuring high-definition 180 degree screens with panoramic visuals - and immersive sound and vibration sensations - you will experience flight like never before.
If the free taster session whets your appetite, there are many other options available to buy - ranging from 30 minute scenic flights around a city of your choice through to a 90 minute real-time city-to-city flight. The software at FEL allows you to choose from over 24,000 different airports, located across the globe. Customers range from flying enthusiasts through to those looking to buy a unique and memorable gift.
For those with a real passion for flying, FEL recommends Ground School London - a training academy based on site that offers theoretical and simulator-based practical foundation courses for senior school students and those considering a change in career.
Flight Experience London will be open from 10am until 5pm on Saturday 8th April and guests will enjoy a free taster session in the simulator on a first come, first fly basis.
