Win a pair of tickets to the fair and all the demonstrations
The Barnes Food Fair on Saturday 20 September 2014 is a one-day charity event raising funds for the winter homeless shelter at the Barnes Methodist Church.
Barnes is one of London’s hidden secrets – a real village with a beautiful pond and village green – and the Food Fair makes the most of these idyllic surroundings with over 80 artisan food producers showcasing their produce in a grand marquee on the Green. There’s an outdoor picnic area with a great range of street food to choose from, and live music all day.
Plus there’s a programme of Cookery Demonstrations by well known chefs in the old Victorian school building on the Green. With a great line up of chefs this year including Phil Howard (2 Michelin Stars), Atul Kochhar (1 Michelin Star), Lucy Boyd of Petersham Nurseries (the daughter of the late River Café founder Rose Gray), Leiths School of Food & Wine and the current ‘it-girls’ of the foodie world The Hemsley Sisters.
Barnes Food Fair will take place between 10am & 5pm on Saturday September 20th, and the cookery demonstrations will run between 10.00am and 4.00pm.
Tickets to the fair cost £4.00 (free admission for children under 16 accompanied by adults) and tickets for the cookery demonstrations cost £10.00. Tickets for the demonstrations can be bought in advance online from www.barnesfoodfair.com.
