Putney Author Raises over £2700 For Age UK

Wandsworth charity benefits from a groovy 60's night organised by Mummy Misfit

The Kitsch Kittens got the dance floor heaving

A groovy 60's night organised by local author Amanda Egan raised over £2700 for Age UK, Wandsworth in memory of her mother and Putney resident Peggy Egan, who was herself a 'Be-a-Friend' volunteer for Wandsworth AgeUK.

Amanda was joined by 'Marianne Faithful' in the 60's VW

The Be-a-Friend Service matches socially isolated older people with Age UK Wandsworth volunteers to provide regular companionship. The volunteers are carefully selected caring reliable people, that are police-checked and supported by the Be-a-Friend project.

Dancing, dining and drinking at The Telegraph Pub accompanied raffles and a Christmas Shop to complete the evening and raise the funds. So what era will Amanda pick for 2019!
