The 1885 Singers Performing Rossini at St. Mary's Church

The next concert by the 1885 Singers will be a performance of Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle.

It is taking place on Saturday 22 October at St. Mary’s Church at 7.30pm.

Alison Hunka will conduct with Robert Bridge and Nicola Meecham on piano with Andrew Baars on harmonium.

The soloists are Augusta Hebbert (soprano), Cathy Bell (alto), Peter Davoren (tenor) and Joseph Kennedy (bass).

Tickets can be purchased at the door for £15 or for £12 for concessions.

St Mary’s Church is by Putney Bridge (SW15 1SN).

Following this event, the next performance by the choir will be on Saturday 10 December at 7.30pm in All Saints Church Putney Common where The 1885 Singers will be joined by the All Saints Church choir and the All Saints Treble makers for ‘A Celebration of Christmas’.

The 1885 Singers area a community choir based in All Saints Church, Putney Common, and have been singing since 1997 under the direction of Alison Hunka. The choir always welcomes new faces. There are no audition, all that is required is a love of singing and a sense of commitment.

Rehearsals are usually on Mondays in All Saints Church, Putney Common from 7:45pm to 9.45pm. For more information email Alison Hunka on Alisonhunka1885@aol.com.
