Major gas repair works taking place on Upper Richmond Road
Increased traffic disruption for up to four months is expected in the area due gas main repair work.
Works will commence on Tuesday 6th July 2010 for a period of approximately 16 weeks, from Ravenna Road Junction to Dryburgh Road. Transport for London (TfL) anticipate completion on the 25th October 2010.
As a result, Upper Richmond Road will be made one way from the junction of Dryburgh Road for traffic flow towards Putney High Street. Local traffic will be able to gain access to Ravenna and Burston Road from Putney High Street. All other traffic however will be diverted via Tibbets Corner onto the A3 Kingston Bypass and finally turning right into Roehampton Lane (A306). There will also be bus and cycle diversions in place during this period, details of which will be provided on the TfL website. Bus Routes subject to diversion are 430, 337, N10 and N74.
The works will be carried out 7 days a week within the following timeframes:
Monday to Friday - 8am – 10pm (no noisy works will take place after 6pm)
Saturday - 8am – 4pm (no noisy works will take place after 1pm)
Sunday - 9am – 1pm (no noisy works will take place on this day)
Other utilities providers are being encouraged to undertake work in the area at the same time as this work and Thames Water will also be carrying out repairs at the same time.
