Six New Gongs For Putney Residents

The New Years Honours list is published, paying tribute to outstanding achievement and service across the entire community, from Putney this year there are six SW15 residents honoured:

CBE

Angela Jane, Mrs FROST Director, Individual Customer Directorate, London, HM Revenue and Customs.

The CBE is awarded for:

  • a prominent national role of a lesser degree or
  • a conspicuous leading role in regional affairs, through achievement or service to the community or
  • making a highly distinguished, innovative contribution in his or her area of activity

OBE

Gordon D'SILVA Chief Executive, Training for Life. For services to Social Enterprise in London and Devon

John Stewart LYNCH Lately Head, BBC Science Unit. For services to Broadcasting.

MBE

Russell Dacre - Lately Director, Open Youth Trust, Norwich. For services to Young People


Elizabeth Anne, Mrs HAMILTON For voluntary service to the Victoria and Albert Museum.

Miss Linda Dorothy JONES Faculty Senior Projects Manager and Operational Manager, Physics Department, Imperial College London. For services to Higher Education.

The MBE is awarded for:

  • achievement or service in and to the community of a responsible kind which is outstanding in its field; or 
  • very local 'hands-on' service which stands out as an example to others.
