Putney Athlete Gets Motivated By Olympic Dame

Liam White met Dame Kelly Holmes at Loughborough College

Putney athlete 18 year old Liam White took part in an education day hosted by double Olympic champion Dame Kelly Holmes (pictured left) at Loughborough College.

He was among 65 athletes invited to the event as a result of their achievements at the Aviva English Schools Championships in the past two years.

White said:
“It is fantastic to have your hard work and achievements recognised by someone like Kelly Holmes and to be given the opportunity to work with other good junior athletes. It was a great opportunity to improve my aqua-jogging and Kelly was very motivating.”

Liam trains with the Hercules Wimbledon squad - Hercules Wimbledon's track and field training sessions take place at Wimbledon Park athletics stadium on Tuesday and Thursday evenings starting at 6.30pm and Sunday morning at 10.30am.
