Road blocked eastbound by HGV

 Following a traffic accident this afternoon on the Upper Richmond Road in East Putney the road is closed here in both directions.

The section affected runs from the junction with the A3 at West Hill to Oakhill Road. This is expected to remain closed for most of the evening.

A vehicle has damaged the front of a building at 48-50 Upper Richmond Road. Council building control officers and operational services staff are at the scene making the property safe.

Traffic diversions have been put in place by Transport for London.
