Slipway where works cabins are sited is to be reinstated
More disruption likely due to Tideway project
Work by Tideway on the supersewer by Putney Embankment will require some road closures in the area later this month.
The company is preparing the site in readiness to start the works to reinstate the existing slipway where the current welfare cabins and offices are situated.
From Monday 21 March to Thursday 24 March there will be a road closure in place from the top of the Lower Richmond Road along the Embankment road for the length of the site.
This will also include the pathway on both sides of the road being closed and the suspension of all parking bays in that area during this time. A diversion will be put in place for vehicles, cyclists and pedestrians which will be sign posted.
Tideway says the road closure is necessary to ensure the safe delivery and set up of new welfare cabins and offices which will be situated adjacent to the Thai Square restaurant.
On Monday 11 April a large crane move the welfare cabins and offices in a process that will take three days.
Works to remove the temporary slipway will begin in October 2022 once the existing slipway has been reinstated.
Tideway says, “We know that this work could cause an inconvenience to our neighbours and we apologise in advance if it does.”
If you have any further queries or concerns regarding these works, or any of Thames Tideway’s activities at our Putney Embankment Foreshore site contact the Tideway Helpdesk on 08000 30 8080 or at helpdesk@tideway.london.
