Putney school girl wins "Stepping Out" competition.
Stepping Out is a design competition open to Year 5 Pupils in Putney. Pupils are invited to submit a drawing or design that reflects his or her journey to school, with the winning design being printed onto T-shirts and given to each Year 5 pupil in the winning school. 'Stepping
Out' supports 'Walk to School Week' by encouraging parents
and schools to embrace the new initiative and promotes alternative
travel arrangements as fun and beneficial to health and the
environment. Nigel
Coates, Managing Partner at Russell-Cooke said: As part of the campaign an exhibition featuring some of the designs has been set up by Putney Children's Library. The exhibition will run from the 16th May until the middle of June. 22nd May 2003 |
