The lease on the Star & Garter on the Lower Richmond Road has been put up for sale.

The pub, which has its origins in the 1800's, is being marketed by property firm Fleurets which recently sold the lease on the Arab Boy in Putney.

Fleurets website describes the pub as having an 80 plus main bar/restaurant with a separate 40 cover cellar bar and a Victorian ballroom with accommodation for 13 staff and a flat for the manager.

The Star & Garter forms a substantial part of a five storey Victorian building. The ground floor can be accessed via three main entrances; Lower Richmond Road, a corner double doorway or the riverside entrance. The building is not listed but it is in a conservation area.

It is on a 30 year lease which has ten years to run at a rent of £118,136 with the rent increases of 2% every year.

An open house viewing is taking place on Tuesday 11 October between 10.30am -11.30am.
No appointment is necessary.

Another iconic Putney pub The Railway went on the market in May this year as JD Weatherspoon reduced its property portfolio.
