Local Opticians Puts Tough Mudder To The Test

12-mile obstacle course in aid of military charity Help for Heroes

Six members of staff from a Putney opticians proved their might by taking on the hard-core 12-mile obstacle course challenge the Tough Mudder, in aid of military charity Help for Heroes.

Staff from Specsavers, located at 133 Putney High Street, participated in the gruelling event and manage to raise a whopping £1,100 for the charity through their fundraising efforts.

Paul Bhalla, store director and Tough Mudder competitor, says: ‘The Tough Mudder certainly lived up to its name! The course was seriously hard work and we finished covered head-to-toe in mud but it was all worth it for a good cause. We’d done a fair bit of training beforehand with the Insanity workout but that still didn’t prepare us for dealing with the mud and various obstacles on the course. Thank you to all the customers, family and friends who generously sponsored our challenge.’
