Priory Lane the scene once more of the battle of the 4x4 v cyclist
A 'Mr Cudd' posted a video on Facebook of cyclists not using the cycle lane whilst he was driving his 4x4 down Priory Lane. As he passes the cyclists on the road, he uses his horn and shouts at them to use the cycle lane. In June 2015 local cafe owner Jason Bale was filmed ranting at a cyclist along the same stretch of local road.

At the traffic lights where Priory Lane joins the Upper Richmond Road, the bemused cyclists catch up and Mr Cudd he tells the cyclists not to touch his phone and asks:
“What’s wrong with the cycle lane? Why don’t you use the cycle lane that’s provided?”

Richmond Cycling Campaign posted, “We’re asking the Roehampton Safer Neighbourhoods Team to investigate this video, and others have asked Roadsafe to do the same.
On line cycylists have ranted against Mr Cudd for endangering the cyclists and other drivers by using his phone to film whilst driving. However there are posting support for Mr Cudd's view that cyclist should use the cyle path.
A spokesperson from London Cycling Campaign told this website,"Whatever happens here, the answer should be cycling enabled for all ages and all abilities. And what is currently there isn’t that.’
A spokesperson for Wandsworth Council Told the Evening Standard that it would be conducting a consultation to improve safety on Priory Lane. He said:,“This would include widening the carriageway and installing additional safety features to reduce vehicle speeds. It will be important for drivers, pedestrians, and cyclists to give us their views.”
