Timetable sees doubling of service from Putney Pier
Putney commuters who use the river to get to the City have been given a boost by the doubling of the number of river taxis serving the route.
From Monday of this week two extra services have been introduced leaving Putney Pier at 8am and 9.10am. The boats will stop five minutes later at Wandsworth Riverside Quarter, and arrive at Blackfriars 40 minutes after leaving Putney.
There will be additional services in the evening. Timings will be dependent on demand. Surveys are being carried out with those using the service.
The new services are the result of months of negotiation with the National Rivers Authority.
The Council is lobbying TfL to support more use of the river for transport and would like to get feedback from residents to support their case. You can give your views on this page.
