Motorcyclist Hospitalised With Head Injury

Incident closes Putney Hill in both directions

Putney Hill was closed to traffic in both directions this Tuesday afternoon (18 August) after a motorcyclist came off his bike.

At around 12:30pm a police motorcyclist saw another motorcycle being driven erratically in the Putney Hill area. The officer indicated for it to stop but it sped away.

A short time later, the motorcycle rider lost control and crashed on Putney Hill. London Ambulance Service was called to the scene and the man was taken to hospital with a head injury.

A police spokesperson said, "We await an update on his condition. The Met's Directorate of Professional Standards has been informed".
