This booklet provides a short history of each of the public houses of Putney and Roehampton, including 24 existing pubs and 51 vanished ones.

It is based on extensive original research, and is illustrated throughout. Putney’s breweries are also covered.

Dorian Gerhold, the author of the booklet, is Chairman of Wandsworth Historical Society. He has written extensively about Putney and Wandsworth and other historical subjects.

He is a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society and of the Society of Antiquaries, and is an Honorary Research Fellow of Roehampton University.
