A new online cookbook has been published featuring a range of recipes from Putney’s independent cafes and restaurants.
The proceeds from Putney to Plate, which features 20 local businesses, will be donated to local charity Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability (RHN). Donations are requested when you download the book.
The book has been put together by Positively Putney Business Improvement District and is a celebration of the independent food businesses in Putney town centre, with a selection of eateries offering their own recipes to create at home. Since the lockdown in March many have embraced their kitchens and have increased homecooking.
A wide range of cuisines has been included to suit everybody’s tastebuds. Whether you fancy a vegan starter from Foodilic; to Ma Goa’s renowned Pork Vindaloo. Or for those with a sweet tooth how about The Bakehouse’s Courgette & Walnut cake; there is also a special recipe from Artisan Coffee showing you how to make that perfect iced latte. Putney to Plate features twenty of Putney’s favourite restaurants and cafes each with their own recipe for you to try.
There is a handy map at the back of this recipe book which shows where all of Putney’s independent restaurants can be found.
Deepak Kapoor, the owner of Ma Goa Restaurant said, “We are so lucky to have some incredible hospitality establishments on our doorstep. The ‘Putney to Plate’ Cookbook is the perfect way to whet your appetite before venturing out to support one of these fantastic local eateries!”

Jane Beaven, Director of Fundraising and Communications for the RHN said, “We’re delighted that Positively Putney have chosen to donate sales from their recipe book Putney to Plate to the RHN. The past few months have been incredibly difficult at the hospital and for the charity sector, so we are blown away by the support from Positively Putney and all of the local restaurants who feature in the recipe book. I imagine a few of our patients will be itching to give some recipes a try in their occupational therapy kitchen sessions!”
