14 year old Monty Lovell is in Unfiltered directed by Jonah Hill
As part of its anti-bullying initiatives, Facebook’s Instagram funded a docU-series directed by Jonah Hill featuring teens and young adults talking about their experiences with bullying.
Monty with Jonah Hill - Monty Lovell
Fourteen year old Monty Lovell is the only British
boy to feature in it. Monty is currently at the prestigious Italia Conti Performing Arts School in Central London, specialising in acting for TV and film amongst dance training. He has also been trained in acting for film and TV at the New York Film Academy (both in LA and NY).
Hill's four-episode “Un-filtered” goes went live last Wednesday (18 September) on Instagram’s IGTV channel on its mobile app and the web. The series is un-scripted and Hill interviews people aged 13-25 who share their stories of being the targets — or perpetrators — of on-line and real life bullying.
Hill told Variety Magazine: “It was an incredible experience to direct this project,” Hill said in a statement. “I tried to create an environment for young people to be heard and listened to. I wish there was a platform to hear other’s struggles and experiences when I was growing up. I hope that this will be inspiring for young people to share their stories and feelings and not feel so alone.”
Janine Gianfredi, Instagram’s director of consumer marketing told Variety Magazine: “At Instagram, we’re committed to elevating the voices of the next generation and that means providing a safe place where they feel comfortable to express themselves.”
This looks like the start of a career in the US, as Monty he's recently been signed by a top Talent Management Agency in LA and will also star in an upcoming Hollywood feature film and TV Comedy series on the HBO network. He told this website: "My passion for acting is what drives me everyday to work hard and achieve my dream. I'm not going to stop doing what I'm doing until I get to where I'm going in Film and TV".
