Putney Missing girl

Fears grow for missing Putney teenager

Police fear she may have been lured away through internet

Police are growing increasingly concerned for the safety of a 14 year old girl from Putney who has been missing for five days. She may have gone to North London, in particular Neasden or Harlesden to meet a man she met over the Internet.

Carmen Cameron who lives with her mum in Tildesley Road, left home on the evening of Saturday the 31st of January. She told her mum that she was going to an under 18s disco. She was last seen by her 13 year old sister in a public telephone box on St Ann's Hill, SW18 the same evening at about 19:15 hours. It is believed that she called a friend, who she informed that she was going to meet a man in Neasden or Harlesden in North London.

As a result of initial inquiries police have established that Carmen may have been in contact with a number of people over the Internet. It is possible that the man she was going to meet was someone she had met over the Internet. However, this is only one line of enquiry and she may have gone to meet somebody else.

Carmen's mother said: "She told Collette she was going to see friends and I've never heard from her since. At the moment I just feel devastated. I just want my daughter home." In a direct plea to her daughter, she added:" Carmen, please come home. You're not in trouble."

She is described as being black, 5'9" and of slim build. She has plaited black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a black jacket, black hooded jumper, white skirt, fishnet tights and silver earrings.
