Tabby cat, Amy, was killed in a traffic accident early this morning. This happened near Sainsbury’s petrol station in Lower Richmond Road.
A passer by went a bit further along the road to the Goddard Vet Surgery to report the matter. He then took the trouble to go back, with a towel they had given him to collect the cat and to take it back to the surgery.
Amy's owner Robin said: "This was a very kind and considerate thing to do and I am extremely grateful. If the as yet unnamed passer by reads this I would like to thank him".
Robin also thanked the local vet Goddard’s, whose nurse contacted him." The nurse phoned me at quarter past nine to tell me what had happened as they were able to identify both Amy and me from her microchip".
