Joe Joyce to defend his Commonwealth Heavyweight Champion title against Richard Lartey

Putney's ‘Juggernaut' is defending the title that he won only last month at London’s O2 Arena with a devastating second round knock out of Lenroy Thomas.

With that victory, 32 year old Joyce became the first ever heavyweight boxer to win the prestigious Commonwealth title in just his fourth fight - and with only 12 professional rounds under his belt.
The former Putney schoolboy and 2016 Olympic Silver Medallist only becam a entered the professional scene last October.
In May Joe laid down the challenge when tweeting:

Joe will now face 6ft 5in Richard Lartey, a former Ghanaian Heavyweight Champion, he holds a 13-fight record with 12 wins, nine of which came by way of knockout.
