Conservative Association members voted unanimously in favour of her re-adoption
Justine Greening, who has served as Putney’s Member of Parliament since 2005, has been readopted as the Conservative Party Candidate for the constituency of Putney, Roehampton and Southfields in the snap General Election that will take place on 8 June.
At a meeting of the Putney Conservative Association held in St Mary’s Church on Saturday 29 April the members present voted unanimously in favour of re-adopting Justine.
Justine has been Putney MP since 2010
Following the vote Justine said: “I’m delighted to have been reselected as the Conservative Parliamentary Candidate in Putney, Roehampton and Southfields for this next election. I’m a local resident and I want to continue with my track record as an MP, working hard on the issues that matter to our community, as I have been doing for the last 12 years – continuing to get the extra investment to improve local transport services, protecting our quality of life against extra aircraft noise from Heathrow and poor air quality, supporting local shops and amenities in Southfields and bringing jobs, homes and facilities to a regenerated Roehampton.”
