More residents in West Putney have expressed concerns about lack of social distancing among drivers awaiting delivery jobs from Putney restaurants.

KFC have placed red spots on the street to encourage customers to queue the requisite distance apart but it appears that this is not always adhered to.

Drivers have been seen ignoring the 2 metre distance advice outside Five Guys and KFC. Despite emailing both Head Offices we have received no response but KFC did respond on twitter to one resident:

The Thamesfield Councillors, pictured below, have expressed their concern, telling this website: “We are really concerned to see that delivery drivers are not maintaining 2 metres social distancing whilst waiting for their pick-ups outside these restaurants in Putney and have contacted Deliveroo and Uber Eats. We have asked them to remind drivers how important this is at busy public locations for everyone’s safety. If residents are aware of other problems at locations in the ward please do let us know and we will follow up".

Local police advised this website: "We endeavour to tell everyone to follow the current guidelines to protect everyone’s safety. Any residents with concerns should speak to them or contact the local team via 101."
