Four fire engines were in attendance
Around 20 firefighters attended a fire in two terraced houses on Crestway, in Putney this afternoon. The fire destroyed the loft space in one house, and badly damaged the loft conversion of the neighbouring property.
Four fire engines from Tooting, New Malden, and Richmond fire stations were at the scene. The Brigade was called at 15:11 and the fire was under control at 16:05. Crews are remaining at the properties to damp down pockets of fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
