The Falcons School for Girls is offering opportunities for academic scholarships, for children commencing Year 3 in September 2018.

The Putney-based school has launched the initiative to make it possible for local girls, who otherwise may not have the opportunity, to achieve a place at an independent school.

The application window is now open and pupils are invited to attend a scholarship day on either Tuesday 17 April or Saturday 28 April. The chosen individuals will be eligible for a percentage of their annual school fees to be covered.

The non-threatening scholarship process will involve a series of tests in maths, english and problem solving. Each pupil will be interviewed and encouraged to talk through her own interests.

Headmistress, Sophia Ashworth Jones commented: "We are delighted to offer scholarships to young girls. I know that there are many local to the school with a strong academic potential who would thrive in the cherishing, challenging and creative environment that we provide at The Falcons School for Girls."

To register interest for the scholarship day,  1pm –  3:30pm on Tuesday 17 April or Saturday 28 April please contact the Registrar, Harriet Stokes at  harriet.stokes@falconsgirls.co.uk.
