Man Jailed for His Part in Fight in Coat and Badge Pub
Brawl broke out between Chelsea and Spurs fans in beer garden
Nik Krunic also banned from football matches for 7 years
A 58-year-old man has been jailed after being involved in a brawl between football fans at a pub in Putney.
Nik Krunic, 58, from Broadstairs, Kent, has been sentenced to 24 months’ imprisonment at Kingston Crown Court for violent disorder.
The fight broke out on the afternoon Saturday 22 February 2020 between fans of Chelsea and Spurs in the beer garden of the Coat and Badge after Chelsea won a match between the two teams 2-1. Blows were exchanged as horrified patrons of the pub who had been watching the game on the big screen in the pub’s courtyard looked on.
Eight people were arrested and some local observers have suggested that the confrontation was pre-planned between the two groups.
One local residents said she saw, "People with blood all over their faces, could see metal chairs and tables used to bludgeon people. Lots of middle aged men!!! All dressed similar, face masks on some. Hideous. Police came quite quickly and in numbers."

Krunic was also given a seven year Football Banning Order after pleading guilty in October 2021.
Detective Constable Phil Dickinson, from the Met’s Public Order Unit, said, “Football violence, whether in the stadium or not, will be investigated. Anyone who participates in this type of behaviour – which reflects badly on the club and its fans – will be brought to justice.
“Not only is Krunic facing two years’ imprisonment but upon his release, he will be unable to watch the team he claims to support.”
