Man suffers an eye injury in the fight in the early hours of Saturday morning
Officers were called at 4.13am today (June 29) to reports of an altercation at Putney High Street, outside Putney Railway Station and attended with paramedics from London Ambulance Service.
A male, aged 20s, had suffered an eye injury during one of a number of fights that had taken place at the location, but the police report that the injury is not life threatening.
Police have arrested five males on suspicion of grievous bodily harm [GBH] and affray offences, they have been taken to West London police stations where they remain at this time.
There were no other reported injuries.
Wandsworth police tweeted:
Officers are currently on scene at dealing with a GBH. One arrest made, victim with eye injury, not life threatening. As a result of this incident access to Putney BR Stn is currently closed.

Putney Station was closed for a short time but is now open and the cordons on the High Street have been removed .
